At maturity the flowers of several mustard species, including Wild Mustard (Brassica kaber) and Wild Radish (Raphanus raphanistrum), resemble those of yellow rocket. However, wild radish has leaves that are covered with stiff hairs unlike either wild mustard or yellow rocket. Additionally, the large terminal lobe in the leaves of yellow rocket helps to distinguish this weed from wild mustard.

From here:Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1898683001149168321.post-5158964502410943872012-04-06T23:15:00.002-04:002012-04-07T10:43:14.808-04:00Cutleaf toothwort (Dentaria laciniata). But it's now early August, they've gotten very tall and droopy and they still show no sign of producing a flower. Update 10/22/13: I didn't yank them and finally, in October, they bloomed. Goldenrod, I think, and next year I may not let them live. Lot of tall, lanky green for a very small payoff late in the season.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1898683001149168321.post-27087290213259143392011-07-15T23:36:00.001-04:002011-07-15T23:36:43.122-04:00???<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-grx3lYkt_7E/TiEHQgIXFXI/AAAAAAAAFtw/4c6hssbONNE/s400/yet%2Banother%2Bweed.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5629788989274133874" />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1898683001149168321.post-30263142566690455052011-07-15T23:34:00.001-04:002011-07-15T23:36:21.856-04:00It's high weed season in my yard. I have a couple of those shrubs in the front yard -- planted by The Husband a long time ago, as in possibly 20 yrs ago. They are pretty but I now know they are invasive. Although I wouldn't say they are highly invasive since this is the first time in 20 years that a volunteer plant has appeared.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1898683001149168321.post-500891483805236662011-05-11T11:19:00.000-04:002011-05-13T16:31:49.730-04:00Weeds CAN be beautiful!
