Lemon balm. If I let it, it will take over the front flower bed. Very aggressive.
Not an evergreen plant so one strike against it. And it grows very tall if not trimmed. Strike two. But it's hardy and needs little water. Melissa officinalis.
Lemon balm makes a great tea. I especially like it mixed with lemon verbena and lemon grass. Just cut it back when it flowers and dig out the old clumps before they get too big.
Gotta love the mint family! :D (I just planted some of this. So, this is what I'm in for? Haha!)
