Is this what everyone calls crabgrass? I'm guessing that Lori KP (see comments) is right: it's goosegrass (Eleusine indica).

  1. Yep. We've got a ton of that stuff in Phoenix. They say the roots grow six feet deep. Not sure if that is true or not. Nice to meet you!

  3. I've heard that grasses are very difficult to correctly identify. I admit to cluelessness!

  4. might be dallisgrass, paspalum dilatatum. simliar to crab, but spreads by rhizomes and mature leaves have no hairs. crab has hairs.
