Hmmm. . . it might be Joe Pye weed or New York Iron weed. . . or maybe something else. :) Both Joe Pye and iron weed have pretty flowers and are native.
I'm going with those too. Based on your sedum, I'd say its too early for the flowering. Probably late August-Sept.
Its hard to see the leaf structure, but also check devils beggarticks, bidens frondosa.
